Erfahrungsberichte mit KNEO
After wearing KNEO initially, the pain in the knee was reduced after a short time. Since I am amputated and the stress on the remaining leg and thus the knee joint is much higher than that of any healthy person, I initially had concerns, but these disappeared after a short time. It was also possible to reduce the pain in the hip area by wearing the KNEO knee brace, since changing the axle load of the leg resulted in a different running pattern, in which the burden for sciatica resulted in. My physiotherapist was initially very skeptical, but after a short time I had to find that he could see an improvement in the pain in me.
However, a subsequent readjustment of the correct settings by you has shown that everyone affected should deal more intensively with the matter so that the responsible medical supply store really does the right settings of the knee brace on site. Because without the right individual settings and use of the right sizes of the knee brace, the success of the knee brace will only come to a limited extent.
Before an elaborate knee operation is performed, everyone should try the use of the knee brace. Perhaps then the operation is already obsolete. Unfortunately, this way of avoiding surgeries is given far too little public attention also by doctors. Instead, complex knee operations are preferred, the results of which are always open.
After I received the indication for a conversion osteotomy operation due to my right-sided medial knee osteoarthritis a year ago at the age of 59, I started to research the Internet and discovered KNEO. What I read there convinced me and I managed to persuade my orthopedic surgeon to prescribe this knee brace. I was also lucky with the orthopedic technician who appropriately bent my new companion. In addition, there were individually made shoe inserts with raised edges. Clear that the new feeling of walking didn’t work right away. Small further adjustments, the search for the right shoes (I found what I was looking for, especially at Keen, Asics and Lowa) and about six weeks of patience were necessary to suddenly realize: I can go on longer hikes almost without pain. After a year and a half with constant pain when walking, this phenomenon also depends on the type of day. In addition, it usually takes about 10 minutes or one kilometer for me to relax my knee and trust the knee brace (especially if, like now in summer, I stuck around with Birkenstocks). And then suddenly it runs by itself; the pain disappears and I enjoy the painless movement on two legs. Many thanks to the developers! You saved me an operation, a lot of pain and a month of rehabilitation!
Walking almost 10 km, on various surfaces, flat, up and down. Here, too, I didn’t notice anything at first. Then I noticed that this NOTHING irritated me, because after a few kilometers I should have been in pain. But I didn’t. Even more: I noticed how relaxed my left side was – which irritated me a bit since I wear the splint on the right. However, I recognized from my shadow that I was extremely upright and did not sway like Teleboy (who knows the target videos of my walks knows exactly what I mean). Apparently, without causing any disruption, the rail caused the right side to take over its share of the running work – so that the left side does not have to compensate. I liked it! Conclusion at the end of the day: feeling good, no pain, desire for more. Read the full report at: http://schreib-lounge-blog.ch/unterwegs-mit-meiner-kneo/
My leg has become completely unstable and bowed due to severe tendon injuries and gonarthrosis. Instead of a total operation of the knee, only an knee brace was possible. So I went to the Balgrist University Clinic in Zurich to fit a KNEO knee brace, always trying hard to guide my leg properly and not to limp. I was fitted with KNEO and took my first steps. Immediately the whole movement went better, I felt the gentle but consistent hold that the rail gave. The way home was an event. Suddenly it was easy again to walk upright and painlessly. Even going down was suddenly no longer a problem. All the effort to control the leg while running and thus to keep the posture straight, is eliminated. And at home, in everyday life, it’s the same. The knee brace takes control without you even noticing this lightweight, the posture of the leg is simply taken over by KNEO. The idea is brilliant, the effect is immediately noticeable, the relief in the head due to the lack of control is relieved, and the symptoms have evaporated, so to speak. Now I am quickly walking my 4 km every day, with music in my ears and enjoying nature. Thanks
I wear KNEO every day and it’s great !!! Without it, I get stinging pain. Thank you for your brilliant invention. I hope that many people with KNEO relief will still be given. All the best.
I got KNEO about 4 weeks ago. I was really excited to see if it worked. Of course I did it right away. I had to work in the evening. I work partly in the kitchen in gastronomy. That means standing a lot and being on your feet for a long time. Standing is a disaster for me. That is not how it works. Not more than half an hour.
Normally I would have been in pain at the end and the next day. But…. It was nothing. Just nothing. Didn’t always have to put my leg up the next day and was in no way restricted. I was very happy about it.
The same during and after sport (Zumba). The knee was completely relieved. A week later we went hiking in the Kleinwalsertal over the weekend. We did a tour every day. The first went over 4 hours and the second over 6 hours. The downhill was always a big problem for me. It was a relief already on the first tour. On the second tour I didn’t know what to expect. We hadn’t done that before. It was recommended to us by a friend for its beauty, and was given about 3 hours. If I had known what was going to happen to me, I would certainly not have gone along.
It was so steep at the beginning and we had to climb in part. And of course we had to go back down. I was afraid. And it was nothing. No pain. Not all the time. I was able to enjoy the whole tour to the fullest. It was wonderful!
After that, everything was fine. I thought the next day was coming. There was nothing there too, no pain. I could almost have started the next tour, but the weekend was over. I used to be able to hike only one day. Through KNEO, the relief orthosis, I was given a great deal of quality of life and freedom. It makes my everyday life a lot easier. I recommend it to anyone who has unilateral osteoarthritis. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an “X” or an “O” position. Above all, I don’t have an unsightly “frame” around my knee. It just disappears under your pants, nobody sees it and you avoid some stupid questions. Above all, you don’t feel it at all. It’s like there’s nothing on it.
I wear the two KNEOs every day now. At first I had sore muscles. Immediate pain relief is there with every occurrence! I can walk around the station all day. And as a nurse you do run a lot! I hope my knee joints will continue to work like this for years to come. Perhaps a joint replacement surgery will then no longer be necessary.
I had osteoarthritis in my knee during meniscus surgery. I have been wearing KNEO since May 2013. It is a great relief for heavy physical work. I have almost no pain walking. My goal is to avoid an artificial knee joint as long as possible.
I recently started wearing, thanks to the open-mindedness of my sports doctor and chiropractor Dr. Bierwirth in Sinsheim, the knee brace KNEO and can again run longer distances. My pain odyssey has now come to an end. A bursitis in the hip, due to a misalignment of the leg axis, and knee osteoarthritis in both knees, could not be managed despite tablets, physio and syringes. Sitting, walking distances, even short ones, was a pain. When accidentally zapping on the MDR television program “main thing healthy”, the KNEO knee brace and its mode of operation was presented. I asked our Späwa orthopedic shop in Sinsheim whether it was possible to request a trial splint from the manufacturer CHW-Technik in Duderstadt. After eight days the splint was there and I tried the splint for the next three days. It was easy to put on, comfortable to wear and I immediately noticed how suddenly I could walk without pain. Attached below the knee with a Velcro strap, the splint exerts a corrective, gentle pressure on the deformed leg. Thanks to KNEO, shopping tours, participation in excursions and even folklore dancing are now possible again. One is definitely postponed to the operating room or can even be avoided.
I used to have pain in my right knee during long hikes and after sitting for a long time with my knee bent. Since I’ve been wearing KNEO (June 2013), I’ve had significantly less pain while running. The knee joint is relieved.
As a child, I had rheumatism in both legs. The first meniscus operation was 20 years ago, the second in the other knee six years later. Since then I have had to deal with permanent joint complaints and recurrent infections. Since July 2013 I have been wearing the KNEOs on weekdays during working hours (9-10 hours) and on weekends or on vacation for hikes or walks. When carrying, there are no disabilities and no complaints even with prolonged exposure.
But you definitely want to know how I walk like this, I think – well: I don’t think first thing in the morning to see if I still have enough pain relievers. I put on the knee braces, roll my pants down and then I go. I can still feel the inside of my joints, that would surely be too much to expect if I assumed to hover like a gazelle. I’ve only been wearing them for a few days and I feel really comfortable with them. I get up after a long time sitting and can walk without someone telling me now that I’m definitely not well. Everything is much easier now – and that makes me happy and very grateful. I don’t like to take them off in the evening, the impulse to wear them in bed is already big … I think I’m just happy .…
6 weeks later:
I was able to make this holiday much more active, of course playing with my KNEOs – boules, walking around for a few hours and just walking around (for example in Paris, simply divine!), Everything went! Of course I also take breaks in between, but I can do a lot more than I did weeks ago without my KNEOs. I train the knee and leg muscles to gain more strength and I think that’s the right way.
I damaged my left knee in a sports accident in my youth. It wasn’t treated at the time. The pain I have in my knee is significantly reduced when I put on or walk with KNEO.
I am 24 years old and had an accident in my thigh when I was a child. This was followed by osteomyelitis (bone skin and bone marrow three years later) and another fracture. Due to the instability of the bone, the quadriceps tendon has shortened and the inner meniscus has worn out. Before I started wearing KNEO (in November 2012), I always used a compression bandage. This helped me, but only while I was wearing it. Despite the bandage, I had to put my leg up in the evening and after stressful days when I had to walk a lot, I couldn’t get around to cooling. Sometimes it was no longer possible without pain medication. Since I have KNEO, I have neither had pain in the evening nor do I have to cool. The most beautiful effect for me, however, is that I can get by for a day or two, both without KNEO and without a bandage, because KNEO not only relieves the meniscus, but relieves it so much that it can recover. A point that I find absolutely awesome !!!
I am 73 years old and have advanced osteoarthritis in my knees. Ten years ago I had to give up long-distance running. Cycling and cross-country skiing is still possible. Because of increasing complaints, I was prescribed an MRI examination. The diagnosis was very serious and the only option was surgery on both knees. Luckily, I found out in good time from my children about the KNEO knee brace, which I have been wearing since November 2012 and find very helpful. They act as pain relieving supports and definitely give me more security when I run.
I came across the KNEO knee brace on the internet independently after my orthopedist prescribed a thigh orthosis with six fixation straps. This was not reasonable in normal life to be worn. It slipped further down with every step and movement was only possible to a limited extent. The resulting poor posture only added to my pain.
Due to a misalignment of my legs (bow legs), I had so much pain in both knees that it was no longer possible to move on foot. I’ve only been wearing KNEO for 14 days, but the pain is completely gone! I can go for walks again and even climbing stairs is no problem. I have my quality of life back and I am overjoyed that Mr. Wagner invented and perfected this knee brace. It’s just a shame that my doctor prescribed a different orthosis for me.
I would advise everyone to contact their orthopedic surgeon directly about KNEO, because this saves time, pain, a lot of racing and the health insurance budget is not overloaded several times.
Before I got the knee braces, I had pain in both knees, which I no longer have, even if only for a short time.
I have osteoarthritis in my knee with severe pain. Arthroscopy has diagnosed “cartilage and meniscus damage”. I have been wearing KNEO since autumn 2012 and can walk longer distances again. That was not possible before!
